Do you have questions? We have the answers!
Everything has been designed for you to have the best results in terms of tattoo removal, safety and experience!
Why think long-term before getting a tattoo?
A tattoo evolves over time along with your body. What feels right today may no longer suit you in a few years. Placement plays a major role in how a tattoo ages and changes.
Thinking long-term helps prevent future regret. Experience shows that the most carefully considered choices are the least likely to be removed. Anticipation is key.
Why trust Ray studios with your tattoo removal?
Ray studios combines advanced aesthetic care, high-end laser technology and personalised follow-up. Skin therapists provide tailored support, an exclusive post-session protocol and a secure environment. Unlike “low-cost” solutions, we prioritise quality, safety and effectiveness. Our aim: to offer you a bespoke treatment, tailored to your needs, in impeccable conditions, while respecting your pace and your budget.
Why was tattoo removal viewed negatively in the past?
For a long time, tattoo removal was seen as an admission of failure or a poor decision, sometimes stigmatised in the collective imagination. It was associated with a youthful mistake or a form of denial, largely due to a lack of information and the absence of effective options. Today, attitudes have evolved: tattoo removal is now recognised as a coherent, personal and legitimate choice, just like a change in style or lifestyle. At Ray studios, we welcome this shift with understanding and professional support.
Will I be judged if I get my tattoo removed?
Much less than before: attitudes have changed.
Tattoo removal is now seen as a personal and confident decision.
In professional and creative circles, it is often understood and respected.
At Ray studios, we guarantee a judgement-free space, always supportive.
Your choice is personal, it deserves to be heard, not commented on.
Will my skin take longer to heal?
This can happen, especially if your skin is prone to redness, dryness or inflammatory reactions. To respect this slower pace, at Ray studios we space out the sessions more, to give your skin the time it needs to heal in depth. This does not compromise the results, quite the opposite: a protocol suited to sensitive skin allows for better recovery and limits the risk of complications. Individual results vary. Regular hydration is also essential to optimise regeneration.
Will my tattoo artist be upset if I have their work removed?
A good tattoo artist understands that a tattoo marks a moment, not forever.
Tastes change, bodies evolve, and so do emotions.
A professional does not take this decision as a personal offence.
On the contrary, many prefer that an old tattoo be removed cleanly.
At Ray studios, we often work alongside open-minded artists.
Will scabs or itching appear?
Yes, this is common within 24 to 48 hours after the session.
Fine scabs, flaking or slight itching may occur.
These signs indicate that the skin is entering its healing phase.
It is essential not to scratch or rub the area, to avoid any damage or marks.
We provide you with a protocol at Ray studios to support you through this phase.
Will tattoo removal take longer if the tattoo is recent?
Not necessarily, but a recent tattoo may contain very dense pigments, which can influence the number of sessions required. The key factors remain the characteristics of the tattoo: depth, density, colours, and location. A consultation allows skin therapists to establish a personalised treatment plan and estimate the number of sessions. The age of the tattoo is just one factor among others, but it does play a role in the overall strategy.
Will the laser damage my skin for my future tattoo?
No, provided a rigorous and well-spaced protocol is followed.
The picosecond laser used at Ray studios targets pigments without burning the skin.
Good spacing between sessions favours the natural regeneration of tissue.
This care helps preserve a healthy base for the future tattoo.
Poor follow-up, however, can alter the skin quality needed for the cover-up.
Will the new centre have to start all over again?
No. If you have a precise history or photos of your progress, we use these to adjust the treatment.
Even without this, an initial assessment of the area allows us to determine how far the removal process has progressed.
We never start over unnecessarily: every protocol is personalised and based on what has already been done.
Our goal is to continue the work already begun as effectively as possible.
Will the skin be thinner after laser tattoo removal?
No, the skin does not become thinner if the treatment is carried out properly. The picosecond laser used at Ray studios exclusively targets the ink pigments without altering the structure of the dermis. Contrary to some misconceptions, the light beam does not "eat away" at the tissue. By following our established protocols, the thickness and natural texture of the skin are preserved. We use a calibrated power level for each customer, to ensure a treatment that is both effective and respectful of the skin's integrity. Individual results vary.
Will the tattoo completely disappear over time, even if I stop treatment?
No. Once treatment is stopped, the lightening achieved generally stabilises after 3 to 6 months, but the remaining ink will not be eliminated naturally by the body. Contrary to some beliefs, pigments still present in the dermis do not continue to dissolve spontaneously without laser stimulation. At Ray studios, we systematically inform our customers about the limitations of stopping treatment prematurely, so they can make an informed decision.
Will the treatment leave marks?
During the session, your skin may lighten slightly on contact with the laser: this is completely normal and the effect disappears immediately after the session. A few hours after the laser treatment, you may notice some redness in the area being treated. This effect is very temporary and disappears quickly, so there's no need to worry.
