On TikTok, YouTube and some forums, tutorials promise to make a tattoo disappear at home with simple "hacks": lemon, acid, whitening creams and so on. These methods are not only ineffective, they are above all dangerous for your skin and your health.

- Lemon and salt: a scrub that is very popular on TikTok, and very dangerous. This abrasive mix only destroys the surface layer of the skin. The result? Redness, infections, scabs, and sometimes permanent scarring.
- Acids, "natural" or not: vinegar, household products, salicylic acid. These are corrosive substances, completely unsuited to skin. Used without supervision, they can cause severe burns.
- Home-made dermabrasion: some people go as far as sanding their skin with a pumice stone or sandpaper. Not only is this extremely painful, it also damages the skin tissue deeply, with a high risk of infection.
